ANNUAL LIVE WELL 5K RUN/WALK,
MOTHER'S DAY RACE
SUNDAY, MOTHER'S DAY, MAY 9, 2010, 9 am rain or shine, starting
and finishing at Milford Hospital.
New 2K Walk.
Proceeds from the run are used
to fund Milford Hospital's ongoing education/prevention programs,
educational materials and cancer and prevention screenings.
Pre-register: $15 for 17 y.o. and under; $20 all others received
by May 5; $25 thereafter and on Race Day. Please request registration
form on-line above and a registration form will be mailed, or
register on line by going to www.hitekracing.com. Registration
will end Wednesday, May 5th. Please send checks to Milford Hospital
Education Dept. 300 Seaside Avenue, Milford, CT 06460. The first
600 registrants receive a race reusable bag.
Check-in will be at Milford Hospital 7:30 am to 8:45 am on Race
Day.

A class for parents-to-be.
In this class, through discussion, demonstration, hands on practice
and video, you will learn skills needed to care for your newborn
baby. Topics include bathing, diapering, feeding, infant safety,
and info that will help you smoothly transition into your new

Childbirth Classes
Classes are taught
by Stephanie Ricci, RN; CCE; CD; and provide you with knowledge
of the birthing process, options in labor and delivery, both
medical and non-medical; and the opportunity to ask questions
in a fun, respectful environment. Class also includes a tour
of the Family Childbirth Center and are given in either 4-week,
one day, or 2 half-day weekend formats.

and Sisters
A free class and hospital tour of the Family Childbirth Center
to prepare big brothers and sisters-to-be, 3-7 years old, for
the birth of their new baby. Please call for schedule.
Young Parent
Program
A program providing
education and support services for pregnant or parenting 13-21
year-olds from Milford or surrounding towns.
Free childbirth classes are offered to participants. All services
are free and confidential.
